Matthew 25-28
Just before Jesus goes to the cross, he teaches his disciples to be ready. He encourages them to be ever watchful for his return. In ch. 24, Jesus teaches his disciples to be ready or else they will be wicked and begin to beat the other servants and eat and drink with drunkards. This will bring incredible punishment upon them.
The 10 Virgins, The Talents, and The Sheep and the Goats, then the most powerful story of all... the Crucifixion and Resurrection.
Power of a Praying Husband - Ch. 1
Pray for myself, to remove all bitterness, negativity, etc. while preparing me to be the spiritual leader of the home. We are to have one in mind, to be focused on the same God, goals, and goodness. Whatever has brought division needs to be lifted up to God so that it can be removed or transformed to bring unity and healing.
Prayer
This morning I'm thankful for Jaime's encouragement to pray throughout our marriage. She often thinks of these things while I am trying to be more "practical" - taking care of what I can do, instead of focusing on what God can do.
Remembering how much God values each of us, we should value God much more. God is so personal, loving each one of us. I need to be more thoughtful of this, it will help me to be more focused on loving others as God loves us. (Mathew 6:24-34; 6:12; 10:26-31)
Bless the 2 new sisters and Simon & Tina's marriage.
